Does the iAdaptAir produce ozone?
No. Some older or cheaper purifiers emit ozone as a byproduct of ionization or UV-C. iAdaptAir 2.0 is third-party validated by Intertek labs to produce no ozone, and the State of California lists it as CARB compliant.
What kind of contaminants does iAdaptAir protect against?
Mold spores, allergens like pollen and pet dander, dust mites, bacteria, viruses, smoke, and VOCs, the chemicals released by paint, furniture, and cleaning products. Third-party lab results for each are on this page above.
How does iAdaptAir filtration technology work?
Five stages in one machine. A medical-grade H13 HEPA filter captures particles down to 0.05 microns, activated carbon absorbs odors and gases, a silver layer helps neutralize what gets trapped, UV-C light sanitizes the inside of the unit, and bi-polar ionization cleans the air that never reaches the machine.
